Andrew Dell Burns, age 92, of Farmville, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was a member of the American Legion, and the Exchange Club. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Wilkerson Hamlett Burns; two sons, Gary W. Burns and his wife Melissa Annette Burns; Carl A Burns and his wife, Lori M. Burns; two grandsons, Brian Burns and his wife Trina, Jarett Burns and his wife, Tiffany; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Bailey, and Louise Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Wallace Burns, and his brother, Roy Burns.
