The Gadsden Times, Tuesday, March 5, 1985: Mrs. Minnie Pearl Cleveland, 73, Gadsden Route 14, died Monday at a local hospital. Surviving is a son, Roy Cleveland, Sr. Funeral at Collier Butler Funeral Chapel with burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Also surviving are daughter-in-law, Eloise Cleveland; three grandchildren and sisters, Miss Dora L. McBurnett, Lula B. Cox and Mrs. Nane Cleveland all of Southside. Minnie Pearl was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.T. Cleveland.
