Note: On 22 September 1784, he was mentioned as son in the will of Timothy Platt of Redding, and in the distribution of the estate made 2 December 1789. The will of Jesse Platt of New Fairfield was dated 5 July 1797 and proved 5 August 1797. It reads: "In the Name of god Amen this 5th Day of July AD 1797 I Jesse Platt of New fairfield in Fairfield County being weak in body but of sound mind, and disposing memory thanks be given to god therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body do make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament. First of all I will and order all my Just Debts and Funeral Charges to be paid and further my will is that the Joinder that I made with my beloved wife Abigail at the time of our mariage should be fulfilled. Item I give to my beloved wife Abigail one years provision [ ] my Decease. item. I give and bequeath to my beloved children the remainder of my estate both real and personal [to be divided] in the following manner. I give to my loving sons [ ] Joseph and Jesse Platt an Equal Shear [ ] my son Daniel Platt I give the sum of four pounds over and above and above an Equal Shear with my sons above mentioned in consideration of his paying some of my Debts and to my son [Sillican] Platt [ ] an equal shear to my first mentioned sons Lacking [ ] pounds. Item. I give to my Loving Daughter Lurana the wife of Philip Wildman the sum of three pounds over and above what she has already had and to my Daughter Hannah the wife of Benjamin Griffith I give one half as much as I give to one of my sons first mentioned having regard to what she has already had. I also constitute ordain and appoint my son Nathan Platt and my Nephew Ephraim Platt Executors on this my last will and testament and I Do hereby revoke [and declare void] all wills by me heretofore made ratified [ ] this and no other to be my Last Will [and Testament in] witness whereof I have hereunto [set my hand] and seal this 5th Day of July AD 1797. Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said Isaac [Platt] the Testator to be his Last will and Testament. In Presence of [ ] Hayes [Ebenezer] Judd [Ebenezer] Robinson Jesse Platt" On 3 August 1797 Nathan Platt and Ephraim Platt were appointed Executors. Inventory was taken 25 September 1797 and included dwelling house, barn, cyder mill, mare and colt, and about seventy acres of land. Distribution was made 20 March 1798 to Joseph, youngest son of said deceased; Peter, son of said deceased; Nathan and Jesse, sons of said deceased; Lurana Wildman wife of Phillip Wildman, and Hannah Griffin wife to Benjamin Griffon, daughters to the deceased; Daniel son of said deceased. The distributors made note: "We have made no mention of any thing to the widow of sd decd the heirs having purchased her right and she having given a quit claim thereof." There was no mention of "Sillican" may have died
