Thos. D. Arnold Passes; Funeral Service Sunday
Funeral for Thomas D. Arnold was held at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon by Dr. Oscar Haywood, pastor of the First Baptist church, the service being conducted at the graveside at Asbury Church.
Mr. Arnold has been critically ill for some time. A daughter, Mrs. C. V. Price, of Raleigh, came several days ago. A brother-in-law, D. H. Ezzell and daughter, Miss Flera Pearl Ezzell, of Roseboro, were here for the funeral.
A native of Craven County, the deceased had resided in the section practically all his life. He was a well-known farmer and for a number of years was a prominent dairyman.
He is survived by his wife; a brother, J. C. Arnold, of Clinton, formerly of this section; and three daughters; Mrs. Price, Misses Christa Pearl and Mildra Arnold, of New Bern.

Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Perry were called to the bedside of her uncle, Mr. T. D. Arnold of New Bern Wednesday evening. Mr. Arnold being very ill and finally succumbed Sunday morning at an early hour. Interment was in Asbury Cemetery.
