Cap graduated from high school in Mangum, Oklahoma. He married Lula King in 1934 in Kirkland and moved to Amarillo in 1942. He served as deputy sheriff in Muleshoe before moving to Amarillo. He worked for Highland Park Independent School District as school bus foreman for many years before his retirement. After retirement, he and his wife Christine Huff Needham owned and operated Amarillo Tours in Amarillo for 10 years. He was active at the Amarillo Senior Citizens for many years, enjoying playing pool and attending the weekly dances. He was a lifelong Baptist and was active in church all his life. He was a member of: East Amarillo Baptist Church, Paramount Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church in 1990. He sereved as a deacon and taught Sunday School for many years at the different churches where he and his family were members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Lula; his wife Christine; and six brothers.

Survivers include: three sons Danny Needham and wife Donna of Amarillo, Jerry Needham and wife Charlotte of Lake Granbury and Charles Needham and wife Meow of Hewitt; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
