Irene V. Sears

Irene V. Sears 91 of Crab Orchard went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 25, 2011. Born November 28, 1919, she was the daughter of the late David and Dona Harris Wyatt.

Irene enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, photography, quilting and playing games. She was a homemaker and a founding member of the Church of God of Glen White.

In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband Edward Sears; son Jerry Clinton Sears; 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Ruth Ann Meador of Cleveland, TN, Connie Permelia and husband Paul of Crab Orchard; sons Russell Sears and wife Sandra of Glen White, Rev. Daniel Sears and wife Mary of Keyser, Rev. Vernon Sears and wife Linda of Bolt and Timothy Sears of Lexington, NC; daughter in law Nancy Sears of Glen White; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sister Edith Duncan of Sophia and nieces and nephews

Services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday July 28, 2011 at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia with her sons Rev. Vernon and Danny Sears and Rev. Jess Farley officiating.

Irene will be laid to rest at the Canaday Cemetery on Friday July 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
