Mrs. Blanche Amanda Etheridge, 69, wife of Charles P. Etheridge and daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Mrs. Amanda Dozier Russell, a native of Smithfield and a resident of Norfolk for 52 years, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 1:30 p.m.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons; Charles R. Etheridge, of Morrisville, Daniel G. Etheridge, of Norfolk, Robert C. Etheridge, of Richmond, and Benjamin Addison Etheridge, of South Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. P. Addison Holdridge, of Long Island, N.Y; a half sister, Mrs. Clarence A. Diggs, of Hampton;; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church and resided at 2595 Waverly Way.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
