Hobart was a good friend of my dad's. Best friend in fact. Turns out they were cousins via marriage!
He was a great guy who had served as a tribal police officer at Pine Ridge SD. He was a real character. Always laughing and making jokes.
He was husband to Lynn Ecoffey
and a loving father of four, grandfather many times over.
His brother, Paul Ecoffey followed him in death a few years later.
He died as a result of un-diagnosed lung cancer.
