Marva Elizabeth (Dunn) Mouse Rennels Plummer, 97, died on January 14, 2015 at her daughters home in Clinton, Missouri. She was born on June 17, 1917 on a farm north of Magnolia, Missouri. Marva was the daughter of Thomas F. and Ruth Rachel (Raker) Dunn. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown, Missouri. She was valedictorian of the 1934 class of Blairstown High School. On December 15, 1934 she married Clifford Harman Mouse and made their home on the family farm north of Urich, Missouri. They had two children, a son and a daughter. They ran a successful dairy, poultry and trucking business along with growing crops. Marva was a leader of the Brushy 4-H club for many years, teaching cooking, sewing and many other 4-H projects. She was responsible for starting the hot lunch program at the Blairstown public school. She was a wonderful cook, homemaker and took pride in the upkeep of their home and the farm. She prepared many meals for the thrashing, hay and silage crews. She always had a large garden and canned everything she grew. She loved to sew, crochet and do many other crafts. She loved to fish. Clifford and Marva loved to travel. They traveled to Hawaii for their 40th anniversary and spent their last winter together in South Texas and loved every minute of it. Clifford died in 1978 after 43 years of marriage. In 1981 Marva met Bob Rennels in South Texas. They resided on the farm until 1992 and then moved to Clinton. They spent six months of the year in their home in south Texas. Bob died in 1993 after twelve years of marriage. Marva and Dick Plummer married in 1996. Dick was from the state of Washington. They spent winters in South Texas, summers in Gig Harbor, Washington, and spring and fall in her home in Clinton. Marva was very active in her winter home participating in all activities. So much to do, lots of exercise, dancing, swimming, cards, games, parades, parties, and bingo. She loved playing pitch winning several tournaments. All this led to a happy long life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Clifford H. Mouse, Robert T. Rennels, Richard W. Plummer; two sisters, Frances, who died at birth and Blanche Mildred Miller; and one brother Raymond Raker Dunn. She is survived by her daughter, son, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, an two great great grandchildren. Service: 2:00 January 19, 2015 at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to service time.
