WINCHESTER--Clara B. Guthrie, 96, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15,2015 at the Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester.
She was born on Jan. 17,1918 in Ridgeville, IN to the late Clarence H. and Blanche (Olvey) Curtis.
Clara was a homemaker and a member of East St. Congregational Christian Church in Winchester. She enjoyed camping, fishing and going to the flee markets.
Survivors include her daughter, Marjorie (Ronald) Simmons of Winchester; two grandsons, Don (Lora) Simmons of Winchester; Tim (Peggy) Simmons of Eaton, OH; two great-grandsons, Travis and Chris Simmons; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burley Lloyd Guthrie who passed away in 1986; five sisters, Helen Sargent, Florence Campbell, Mary Geesaman, Carrie Thomas and Dorothy Kinman and one brother, Marion Curtis.
Funeral services for Clara will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19,2015 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Rob Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
