Growing up, I only knew my great-aunt as Aunt Ted. Her parents were I. Newt Butterworth and Vinia Craft Butterworth. Siblings were Amzy Pearl Butterworth Cody Griffin, Wiley Marion Butterworth, Vada Butterworth Johnson Mize and Anne Arizona (Zona) Butterworth Brooks.

Graveside services for Minnie Butterworth, 82, of 317 W. 9th St., Oxford, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Salt Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Collette officiating and Miller Funeral Home in charge.

Miss Butterworth died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a primary care-giver, Gladys Shaw of Anniston; and several nieces and nephews.

Miss Butterworth was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County.
