Wilma Jean Whitener, 82, died Tuesday. What a joyful day! Can you hear God's heavenly choir. Our Mother's voice premiered in heaven January 13, 2015. Fellow choir members include the voice of Logan Whitener, her husband of 62 years. Her parents, John and Pearl Cox, along with her brothers and sisters who preceded her. Our Mother was born at home in West Irvine on November 21, 1932.
She was a homemaker and Mother to two typical boys, Gary and David. We drove her hair to gray prematurely. Contributing to her gray hair are her four grandchildren, Logan Whitener, Ashley McNeal, and McKenzie and Roman Whitener. Also left behind are her sister, Effie, daughters-in-law, Cathy Whitener and Cindy Cheek. From
her new home, Mom becomes guardian angel in waiting for her great granddaughter, Maddelynn Rene McNeal, to be born later this week.
