Jean C. Donahue, 84, of Spring Lake Heights, NJ, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
Jean was born and raised in Belleville and lived in Bloomfield for 26 years before moving to Spring Lake Heights, NJ, in 1981. She was employed as a Legal Secretary for many years before retiring in 1987.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph P. Donahue, her parents Albert and Margaret Carragher, her sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Robert McGuire, her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Joseph Lister, her brother and sister-in-law Albert and Marilyn Carragher, her sister and brother-in-law Rita and James McManus. Jean was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Thomas and his wife Elizabeth, her brother-in-law Raymond and his wife Katherine, her sister-in-law Mary and her husband James Mulroony.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Gina Donahue, a son Brian and a daughter Elaine. Jean was the loving grandmother of Caitlin and Cayla. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Michele Carragher and thirty-two nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be on Sunday 3-7 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Route 35, Wall, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM at St. Catharine Catholic Church, 215 Essex Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Catharine Cemetery Mausoleum, Sea Girt, NJ.
