Samuel Peter Keplinger was the son of Peter and Mary (Marie) Anna Stauch Keplinger and the husband of Rosanna K Coover Keplinger. He was the father of Emma Belle, Ellsworth Ellis L, and Leonides "Lonny" Z Keplinger. Samuel served in the Civil War with the 8th Independent Battery, Light Artillery from 1864-1865.
