At the time of death Bro Holmquist was a retired head of the Minneapolis Police Dept forgery division. He joined the police dept. in 1925 and became a detective in 1939, rising to Detective Supervisor in 1951. He was a past President of the police departments retirement club, secretary of the departments hospitalization group and treasurer of the police Benevolent Association. He was raised a Master Mason at Cataract Lodge #2 on 29 Jan 1925 becominga member of St Anthony Falls Adoiram Council and Darius Commandery , Scottish Rite and Zuhrah Shrine. He was also a Past Patron Rolla Chapter OES. Funeral services were conducted under the auspices of the Scottish Rite on 18 Jan 1962 followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery. He was a widower with a surviving sister, Mrs Myrtyle Fawset and a brother, Arnold C Holmquist of Minneapolis MN. Sincere sympathy were given to the survivors due to the loss.
