She graduated from Martin Hughes High School in Buhl, Minn., and received a two-year teacher's certificate in 1929 from Duluth State Teachers' College. Vienna received a bachelor of science degree in education from Wayne State in 1957.
She married Arnold V. Aarni on June 29, 1941, in Chisholm, Minn. He died in 1995.
Vienna taught school in Minnesota and Texas, later becoming a speech correctionist and retiring from the Pontiac, Mich., public school system in 1970 with 20 years in education.
Vienna is survived by her son, John (Diane) Aarni; brother, Arthur Dick; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Aarni.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Rudy, Elmer and John Dick; and sister, Ellen Dick.
