Mrs. Mary Alice Collins, 88, died at her home near Middletown yesterday.
Born May 14, 1869, in Madison county, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Louisa) Polk Collier. Her husband, Edgar, died in 1940.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles Vanhoy of Middletown; three sons, Emory and Ward of Pendleton and Roy of Markleville; one brother, Homer Collier of Madrone, Calif. Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Church.
The body was taken to the Cornell Bright funeral home where services will be conducted Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. A. F. Byrne and Rev. Artie Stohler officiating. Burial will be in the McCray cemetery in Wilkinson.
