Kyle McMillan, 61,
passed away June 27, 1964 at his home on West Stuart Drive, Galax.

Mr. McMillan, son of Manly E. and Eudora Hash McMillan,

was born at Nathan's Creek, Ashe County, N. C. June 27, 1903,

and came to Galax in 1911.

After attending National Business College, Roanoke, Va., he returned to Galax and has been an active participant in community affairs.

At the time of his passing he was a member of the Board of Stewards and Chairman of the Properties Committee of the First Methodist Church.
He was serving on the Building Committee for the new Educational Building.

He became associated with Pless Furniture Stores in 1944, and at the time of his death, he was second vice president.

He was a member of the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, Galax Country Club, and Sons of the American Revolution.
He was an enthusiastic hunter.

Surviving are his wife, Zollie Cox McMillan; two daughters, Mrs. J. Ralph (Elaine) Sexton, Galax; Mrs. James C. (Doris) Eller, Winston Salem; three sisters, Mrs. Sherwood Forrest and Mrs. William C. Gaither, Myrtle Beach, S. C., and Mrs. Walter A. Porter, Hillsville; one brother, French McMillan, Lexington, N. C.; and two granddaughters, Virginia Sexton and Elaine Eller.

Funeral services were held at 3 pm Sunday, June 28, at First Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. James Smalling and the Rev. Carroll Skeen.
Interment was in Felts Cemetery.

A male quartet, composed of the Rev. R.S. Dendy, Leon Castle, Craven Caudle, and Joe Fortner, sang "How Firm A Foundation," with Miss Jane Osborne as the organist.

Pallbearers, all cousins, were Gale, Dean, and Warner McMillan, Hobson, Kelly, Rex, and Allen Hash, and Jessie Mack Osborne.
