GRAVESIDE SERVICES – 4:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2015 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Chuck Robertson, officiating.
INTERMENT – Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Vivian Marie Wiggins Corder died January 13th at the age of 81. Vivian was born May 19th, 1933 in Lamar County, Texas to Jerry Marr Wiggins, Sr. and Fannie Lizabeth Helms Wiggins. Vivian met Frank William Corder, Sr. through a Lonely Hearts Club, from the back page ad of a Magazine. They exchanged letters and pictures. Frank went to Paris, Texas on February 17th, 1953 to meet Vivian, for the first time. They sat on the Town Square in Paris and they got married the next day, February 18th, 1953. They moved to Amarillo, Texas where Frank lived. They lived in Amarillo until Frank retired and moved to the farm in Donley County in 1977. Vivian ironed clothes for the Public until 1975. Vivian loved to work outside in the garden and her flower beds. She also loved all types of house-plants. Vivian was a Loving and Devoted Wife to Frank, Mother to 3 Children, Grandmother to 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – Vivian was preceded in death by her Husband, Frank in 2011 and her Daughter, Vivian Marie Corder Hatfield, in 2001. She was preceded in Death by her Father, Jerry Marr Wiggins, Sr. and Mother, Fannie Lizabeth Helms Wiggins 4-Brothers: Weldon Elbert Wiggins, Andrew Jackson Wiggins, William Albert Wiggins and Jerry Marr Wiggins, Jr. 4-Sisters: Dessie White, Ada Hinson, Eliza Ann Wiggins Mitchell and Ethel Rennie Wiggins Hickey
SURVIVORS – Vivian is survived by her Son, Frank William Corder, Jr. and Daughter, Kathy Lynn Corder Swanson. Her 4-Grandsons, William Henry Corder, James Edward Swanson, Richard Eugene Corder and David Seth Corder, 1-Great Grand-Daughter, Heather Renee Swanson and 1-Great Grand-Son, James Ray Swanson. A Cousin, Irvin Wiggins IN LIEU OF FLOWERS- The family request memorials be sent to the American Heart Association.
