February 02, 1922 - January 09, 2015 Emery Herman was raised in Russell, KS. He passed to be with the Lord on January 9, 2015, in Marysville, CA.


He met the love of his life, Imogene (Pemelton) Herman at Camp Cook, CA. They married on January 18, 1946, and almost reached 69 years of marriage.


He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Battle of the Bulge. Emery worked full time until the age of 87 years old. He worked in the local area in several car garages, Anchor Motors, Daoust Chevrolet, and Wheeler Olds. He later worked at the Sacramento Metro Airport for over 14 years. He loved participating in trail rides, and camping out. He belonged to the Golden Feather Riders for over 40 years, and also belonged to both the Yuba and Sutter Sheriff's Posse, and also the VFW.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ollie (Parks) Herman, his twin brother, Everett, and his sisters, Ruby and Ruth King, and Hazel Roenne. He leaves behind a sister Mabel Kirby, and a brother Fred Herman of Salina, KS.


The Herman's have three daughters; Janette Angelone, Sharon Chism (Jimmy) and Patricia. He leaves six grandchildren; Cary Chism (Rachelle), Angel Williford (Eric), Trey Freeman (Melissa), Shawna Sherrill (Troy), Betty Hubbard (Clint), and Ross Emery Herman (Shauna). They also have nine great- grandchildren.


Graveside services will be on Thursday, January 15th, at 10 AM, at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst. CA. The Family requests donations to the Fisher House in lieu of flowers. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
