Virgie E. Baker was born in Reading West Virginia, the daughter of the late Zina and Henry Winland.

She loved crossword puzzles, golf, traveling and took fishing trips to Canada well into her nineties.

Virgie E. Baker, 108, formerly of Medina and most recently of Maitland Florida, passed away peacefully on the 9th of December 2014.

Virgie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herschel; her son, Fletcher; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her son, Norman Baker; grandson, Darrell (Shelley) Baker; granddaughter, Debbie Fox; great-grandchildren, Brad and Chris Baker, Bob (Jen) Chapman, Missy Chapman; great-great-grandchildren, Carter, Miles, Mason and Mackenzie.

Vergie was the joy of our lives, and we were her "darlins". We will miss her forever.

A special thanks to the staff at Savannah Cove.

Cremation has taken place.
