Betty L. Cisco, 86, of Waynesville, passed away Sunday (Jan. 11, 2015) at her home.

Betty L. Cisco was born in Waynesville on May 27, 1928, the daughter of Jesse and Martha McCallister Gelsthorpe. She was united in marriage Jan. 23, 1948 to George S. Cisco. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Burger, Ruth Organ and Dorothy Rich and one brother, Bud Gelsthorpe.

She is survived by one son, Gene (Cathy) Cisco; two sisters, Jen French and Mary Gelsthorpe; one brother, Jim Gelsthorpe; two grandchildren, Ryan (Kristen) Cisco and Amy (Jamie) Prestegaard and four great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Waynesville High School in 1946. She was a member of Waynesville United Methodist Church.
