Anna was married to Donald F. Bortz, before his passing in 1971. She was a waitress at various downtown Easton restaurants, and she worked as a machine operator at Keystone Snacks in Lower Nazareth Twp., before retiring in 1989.
Anna was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
Anna is survived by her daughter Brenda J. (Bubba) VanNortwick of Nazareth; two grandsons, Scott VanNortwick of Bethlehem Twp., and Todd VanNortwick of Palmer Twp.; two great-grandsons, Andrew and Colby VanNortwick of Nazareth; and her special girl, Emily (Black) Peters of Nazareth; along with a number of loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law Charles W. VanNortwick,, Jr.; brothers Tony, Louis, James, and Frank Bubba; sisters Mary Sagazio, Mae Holden, and Helen Ciavarella; nephews Robert Holden and Louie Bubba; and a niece Shirley Duckworth.
A calling hour will be held on Friday Oct 17 from 10-11am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a funeral service at 11am in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, William’s Twp.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to the charity of choice.
