Constantine; Clarence P. LINN, 79, of 67180 Blue School Road, Constantine, Mich. died June 14, 2000 at the Heartland Health Care Center of Three Rivers following a two year illness.
He was born Jan. 17, 1921 in LaGrange County, Ind., a son of Arthur and Gladys (BROCKWAY) LINN. He resided in Constantine since 1975, coming from Kalamazoo where he had lived for 40 years.
On Sept. 8, 1939 he married Cornelia D. KRAMER in LaGrange.
A veteran of WW II, he was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre of Action.
He was employed for 36 years at the Eaton Corp. in Kalamazoo as the head fireman in the Heat Treat Division, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Retired Employees of Eaton Corporation.
Surviving are his wife, Cornelia D. LINN of Constantine; his sister, Mrs. Tom (Caroline) COLLINGSWORTH of Elkhart, Ind.; two brothers, Allen LINN of Calif. and Raymond LINN of Michigan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sarah M. LINN in 1975; and three brothers, Gerald, Donald and Lloyd LINN.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon, where services are at 2 p.m. (Mich. time) Saturday. The Rev. Pat Glass of the White Pigeon United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery, White Pigeon.
