Marty was born August 27, 1941 in Duncan Falls, Ohio to the late Matthew “Matty” and Josephine (Braun) Eskey. He passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
Marty was a 1960 graduate of Philo High School and served three years in the United States Army. He retired from AT&T (formerly Ohio Bell/Ameritech) and attended First Baptist Church of Heath.
Marty is survived by his wife, Lois (Hall) Eskey; son, Michael (Linda) Eskey of Duncan Falls; daughters, Rhonda (Joe) Obednikovski of Pataskala and Tammy (Andy) Montell of Pickerington; eight grandchildren, Steve (Stacey) Eskey, Mitchell (Lindsay) Casto, Matthew Casto, Randi Casto, Coulson Casto, Nick Obednikovski, Scott Montell and Kyle Montell; great-grandsons, Garrett Eskey and Gannan Casto; sister, Diane Caton of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brendan Eskey; a sister, Natalie Watts; and two brothers, Lawrence Eskey and Donald Eskey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Buckeye Lake Area Humane Society, P.O. Box 1502, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008 or to a charity of one’s choice.
