ADKINS, E. Burton, 74 , of Buchanan, died Monday, August 21, 1995. He was owner/operator of E.B. Adkins Trucking Company. He was a member of the American Legion Post #93. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mollie Adkins of Stuart, Va. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Esther B. Adkins, Buchanan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lowell and Kate Adkins, Roanoke, John Abe and Alphia Adkins, Elberon; brother-in-law, William T. Beckner, Buchanan; special friends, Lawrence and Eva Vines, Buchanan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24, 1995, at 2 p.m. in Rader Buchanan Chapel with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buchanan Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 266, Buchanan, Va. 24066.
