Buddy had been a caretaker of a retirement home in Ottumwa, IA before relocating back to Pittsfield. He was a self employed laborer, mowed yards and had previously assisted with taking care of the West Cemetery. He loved to visit with friends and family and loved his dog "Wolfie".
He is survived by a step-son, Michael Martin; step-daughter, April Sullivan and their mother, Wanda Patton; a brother, Eric (Tammy) Hubbard of Pittsfield; nephews, Ric (Betsy) Hubbard, Alec Hubbard, Patrick Hubbard all of Pittsfield and Jon Goertz of Griggsville.
Buddy was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and a sister, Rhonda Hughes on September 6, 2014.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Oakwood Cemetery in Pittsfield with Ric Hubbard officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to be made to the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nieburfh.com. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield has been entrusted with the service.
