Born May 17, 1937 in San Ygnacio, Luis was a son of the late Encarnacion and Enriqueta (Salazar) Salinas. He married Demensia “Nancy” Garcia July 17, 1955. Luis was a member of the Church of Christ.
Luis was preceded in death by his parents, a son (Robert Salinas), a brother (Arnold Salinas), a sister (Marta Pina) and a grandson (James W. Cain, II).
Survivors include his wife, Demensia “Nancy” Salinas; three sons, Joe Luis Salinas of Weatherford, Fred Salinas of Anson and Gilbert Salinas of Fort Worth; two daughters, Sylvia Garcia of Abilene and Jo Ann Cain of West Grove, PA; one sister, Ruth Sanez of Boyd; one brother, Eloy Salinas of Fort Worth; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
