Marjorie graduated from Normandin Middle School as president of her graduating class and was a 1933 graduate of the New Bedford High School. As a youth she belonged to the Rainbow Girls Majority Club. She was keenly interested in the town of New Bedford and was a poll taker during the voting seasons.
