GOLDTHWAITE — Funeral services for Violet Saylor, 96, of Goldthwaite, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Goldthwaite with Pastor Carlos Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite.

She died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 in Austin.

She was born July 10, 1918 in Adamsville to Joseph Franklin Petrey and Ella Mae Cheek Petrey. She married Lincoln Taft Saylor on Sept. 16, 1933 in Goldthwaite. She was a lifelong resident of Mills County, a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Dana Saylor and wife Giuliana of St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Rosalind Baker of Fort Worth, Shirlie Glimp and husband Hudson of Burnet, Jean McDonald of Bridgeport, Sylvia Coats and husband Richard of Marble Falls, and Monica Mann and husband Rusty of Bridgeport; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
