Daniel Allen Badal was born March 24, 1916 in Urinmiak, Persia, the son of Saul O. BADAL. He died Jan 24, 2003 at age 86 at Lake Co. Memorial Hospital-West, Willoughby, Ohio, a resident of Kirtland. His widow, Opal Irene Badal (nee Hicks) was born Oct. 25, 1922 in Greenup County, Kentucky, the daughter of Jay Hicks and Mamie Lee Traylor. She died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008 age 85 at home in Kirtland, Ohio.

Opal lived in Cleveland before moving to Kirtland in 1956. She had been in various bowling leagues at the former Regal Lanes in Mentor. She enjoyed ceramics, embroidery, cross-stitching and was an amateur bird watcher. She was an inspector for Endura Plastics in Kirtland, retiring in 1979.
