Wilma D. Dahlem was born March 28, 1932, in Sulphur, Okla., to Zachary and Bea Porter Davidson. She passed from this life on Dec. 29, 2014, at Hospice Care in South San Francisco, at the age of 82.


Mrs. Dahlem was born and raised in Oklahoma and graduated from Plainview High School. She then began her career as a government worker. Wilma worked for the government for over 44 years, working for the Department of Defense and retired in 1994 with several awards for her exceptional service.


Wilma was an avid cook and was always happy to make an excellent dinner for friends and family.


Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles of 59 years; sister, Virginia Layton-Paige; and nephew, James Layton.


She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Schurman and her husband, Michael of Washington; two grandchildren, Michelle Schurman and Michael Schurman Jr. and his wife, Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Kenneth and Zackery Schurman, all from Washington.


Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bruce Kirby officiating. Travis Layton, Trey Layton, Trevor Layton, Rex Layton, Thor Clemens and Darwin Blount will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Crinerville Cemetery.


A visitation will be from 6 to 7 this evening at Craddock Funeral Home.
