Donna Catharine Hoover, daughter of Robert Leo Patterson and Esther Catharine (Brown) Patterson was born July 18, 1931 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, December 17, 2010 at Winterset Care Center South in Winterset, Iowa at 79 years of age.

Donna grew up in Osceola and graduated from Osceola High School with the class of 1947. She was united in marriage to Fred Hoover on August 1, 1953 at Columbus, Georgia.

Donna worked as a housewife and homemaker. Over the years, employment included Clarke County State Bank, Lewis Chevrolet, Iowa Pack Credit Union, Fareway, Lytton Hardware, and Economy Forms Corporation. . She was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Truro. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great grand children.

Those relatives who preceded Donna in death were her parents; son, Wayne Hoover; sisters, Helen Segerstrom and Margaret Gillespie.

She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Fred Hoover of Truro; daughter, Lynne (Thomas) Walker of St. Charles; son, Del Hoover of Bondurant; grandsons, Chad Walker of Osceola and Clinton (Crystal) Walker of New Virginia; five great grandchildren, Taylor and Chyanna; Matt, Gregg and Tyler as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
