PARDEEVILLE — Maude J. Keith, age 95, of Pardeeville, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2002, at the Remington House in Pardeeville, where she had been a resident for the past two and a half years. Maude was born on April 11, 1907, in Buffalo Township, Marquette County, the daughter of George and Lila (Brown) Jerred. She was a Pardeeville High School graduate and a graduate of the Columbia County Teachers College. In June 1933 she was united in marriage to Ronald Keith in Dalton, Wisconsin. Four children blessed this marriage. Maude was very gifted in doing handiwork. She made quilts for all of her family and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed gardening and baking. Most dear to Maude was her family. Her children and grandchildren brought much joy into her life. Maude is survived by her loving family; a son, Bruce (Karen) Keith; two daughters, Carol (Donald) Graack, and Joyce (Douglas) Hare, all of Pardeeville; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. "Wes" Dorothy Sommers of Cambria; sisters-in-law, Jean Jerred of Cambria, and Doris Gray of Poynette; cousins; nieces; nephews; other near relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald on May 25, 1995; one son, Roger in 1981; grandson, Alan Graack in 1963; brother, Lynne Jerred; and a sister, Grace Barden. Funeral services for Maude Keith will be held on Monday, September 30, 2002, at 2:30 p.m. at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Pardeeville. Pastor Dennis Weis will officiate. At Maude's request, burial will be private in the Pardeeville Cemetery.
