Funeral of Mrs. Cora G. Brown
The funeral of Mrs. Cora G. Brown, who died at her home in Mexico, April 29th, was from the house of Oscar Brown on Sunday, May 2d. She was the wife of Shirley R. Brown, son of Oscar Brown and daughter of Frank and Climena Kilgore of Auburn.
Her age was 34 years. Her disease was heart failure with bronchitis and pneumonia. She is survived by her husband and four young children; also by her father, stepmother, three brothers of whom two, Charles and Alton, a married sister, Mrs. Lena Etheridge of Mexico, Amy Kilgore of West Auburn and Eva Brown, oldest child of deceased were present at the funeral.
Mrs. Brown was greatly esteemed by wide circles of friends wherever she was known and abundant testimonial to this was evident in the profusion of beautiful floral offerings which surrounded the casket in the funeral apartment. A large cross and wreath composed of flowers and evergreens contributed by lady friends in Waterford and a g-- of pinks and roses from Keoka Chapter No. 12, of Waterford were prominent tributes of regard for the deceased wife and mother. Other floral offerings were as follows:

Pinks - Charles F. Kilgore, Harriet Peaslee and H.O. Burdett & Sons of Rumford..
Roses - Employees of Fort Hill Chemical Co. of Rumford.
Pinks - Mr. and Mrs. Harold Harlow, Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Gleason, Mr. and Mrs. John Wood, Sunshine Club of Mexico Congregational Church, Laurel Club, Rev. J.W. Fisher of Mexico, Mrs. C.B. Wills and Marion Kilbeigh of Auburn.
Beautiful wreath, accompanied by expressions of sympathy - Mr. and Mrs. Neff, Mr. and Mrs. Moody, Mr. and Mrs. A. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Stevens of Mexico.
The obsequies were solemnized by Rev. S.T. Livingston, pastor of the Congregational Church of Bridgton Center who gave an appropriate discourse and read a burial service at the grave. The interment was at Elmvale Cemetery. William Kingman, William Green, Rexford Rounds and Leon York were the bearers.
