Nancy Browne Wehner, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2015 at Vitas Hospice in southwest Houston, due to complications from a stroke that she suffered on November 13, 2014. Nancy Anne Browne was born October 30, 1943 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Texas to William Theodore Browne, Sr. and Elizabeth Green Wilson. She also had family roots in North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.

In Houston, Nancy attended Grady Elementary and Lanier Junior High and graduated from Lamar Senior High (Class of 1961). She also attended Trinity University, Sam Houston State University and the University of Texas-Austin.

On June 5, 1965 at Westminster United Methodist Church in Houston, Nancy became the beloved wife of Byrom Thorgeson Wehner. At the time of her death, they had been married over 49-1/2 years. Nancy was a dedicated homemaker, in the truest sense of the word.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband; a son, Charles, of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Susan, of Algoa, Texas; older brothers, William T. Browne, Jr. of Kerrville, Texas, and David S. Browne of Naples, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow the funeral service.
