Mr. Holbrook, who died Sunday at the age of 84, worked for the Southern Pacific Co. for 50 years.
The Utah native, who had lived in Sacramento since 1945, served on the high council of the Sacramento Stake of the LDS Church. He belonged to the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
Mr. Holbrook leaves his son, Robert L. of Sacramento, daughters June and Joan Wallace of Utah and Mary Lou Ellsworth of Pennsylvania; sister, Lucille Garr of Utah; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
