HINTON — Kathy Maria Jackson, 48, of 113 Park Ave., Hinton, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at her home.

Born April 1, 1963, in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Williams Jackson.

Kathy was a member of the Eco Theatre in Summers County and was a former cook at Glade Springs Resort in Daniels and Pipestem State Park. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Hinton and was a former Supervisor for the Summers Youth Program.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Adam Jackson, II. Also preceded by three sisters, Kady Jackson, Paula Jackson and Tammy Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Scott Jackson and wife Reanna of Ft. Campbell, KY. Two brothers, Henry Jackson, Jr., and Doug Jackson, both of Hinton. Two sisters, Donna Meadows and husband David of Hinton and Debbie Craigen of Baltimore, MD. Four grandchildren: Selena Gentry, Alajha Jackson, Janea Jackson and Scott Adam Jackson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Rev. Matthew Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Esquire Cemetery in Hinton.
