William Bryant Arnold, 84, of Columbia, MO formerly of Sedalia passed away Sunday, January 04, 2015 at The Bluffs in Columbia. He was born on January 02, 1931 in Pitt County, NC a son of Hyman E. and Lucy (Smith) Arnold.

On September 28, 1962 in Santa Anna, CA he was united in marriage to Gail Mae (Farris), who survives of the home.

Bill and his wife owned and operated several businesses in the Sedalia area. Including Arnold’s Farm Structures, Arnolds Outlet, Kettle Korn Concession and mobile home parks and other rentals. He was involved in the church, having served as Chairman of the Administrative Board and several committees. Bill loved traveling, camping with friends, as well as spending time with his family. He was a member of New Bethel Church and the American Legion Post 642. Bill served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sisters, Doris Dixon of Norfolk, VA, Elsie Simpson of Norfolk, VA, Peggy William of Chocowinity, NC and Frances Smith of Vanceboro, NC; two brothers, Clifton Arnold of Norfolk, VA and James Arnold of Hope Mills, NC; two grandchildren, Kelli Campbell of Osage Beach, MO and Traci Richardson of Overland Park, Kansas; and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Daunita Cordes and one brother, Earl Arnold.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at New Bethel Methodist Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Mary Biesemeyer officiating.

A visitation was held at the church one hour prior to the service.
