Ruth M. Wagoner, 96, of North Webster passed away at 2:33 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, in her home. She was born on Aug. 30, 1918, in Banquo, Ind., to Elmer L. and Zephy V. (Roberts) Spaulding.

She was raised in Huntington and Grant County, Ind. and graduated in 1936 from Van Buren High School in Van Buren, Ind. On Nov. 3, 1946, in Marion, Ind., she married Burr J. Wagoner who preceded her on Oct. 30, 1993. She lived in Marion after she was married until 1961, then moved to Antioch, Ind., where she lived before moving to North Webster in 1966. She was a homemaker, former co-owner and operator of Sinclair / Arco Service Station in North Webster during the late 1960s and 1970s and was formerly employed at Fee's His & Her Shop in North Webster.

She formerly attended the Methodist Church in Banquo and the Syracuse Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, embroidery, drawing, painting, cooking, gardening and was an avid euchre player well into her 90s.

She is survived by three nephews: Garl (Abby ) Campbell, Huntington, Lester Spaulding, Van Buren, and Melvin (Kathy) Spaulding, North Manchester; eight great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews
