J.P. Guenther, son of Frank Guenther and Frances Schuman, husband of Carrie Spindle, died at age 61. He died of heart trouble at his home in the Lacamas valley northeast of Winlock, where he had resided the past 26 years. He was a member of the Cowlitz grange, served on the local school board, was a member of the Woodmen of the World and other organizations. Survived by his widow, Mrs. Carrie Guenther; six sons, Frank, Edward, Jacob, Albert, David and Sylvester; and three daughters, Mrs. L. Parrish of Bellingham, and Helen and Bertha who reside at home.
