EMILY K. BURKE DIES SUDDENLY IN ST. PETER's
SALEM - Mrs. Emily King Burke, 62, wife of Ralph Burke, died November 21 in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, where she underwent surgery on November 16.
Mrs. Burke was born in Cambridge on November 27, 1908, daughter of George and Lillie Fonda King of Cambridge and was the twin sister of Edward Fonda King of Ash Grove Road, Cambridge.
Mrs. Burke was a graduate of Cambridge Union School and Troy Conference Academy, Poultney, Vt. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church and the WSCS, Salem Adam and Eve Club, Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter, DAR.
The only survivors are her husband and brother.
Services were expected to be held Wednesday afternoon at McClellan Funeral Home, Salem, by the Rev. Cass Gilbert, pastor, Salem Methodist Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem.
