Visitation for Turville Elliot Spreadborough of Laurel will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenacres Funeral Home near Ferndale. A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Weir officiating. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park near Ferndale.

Mr. Spreadborough died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at the family home in Laurel. He was 89.

Born Sept. 24, 1911, to Arthur and Martha (Doane) Spreadborough in Kalama, he moved in 1950 to Whatcom County and settled in the Deming area.

Following the death of his first wife, Myrtle, in 1986, he married Frances Hamilton and they moved to the Laurel area.

Mr. Spreadborough worked as an electrician for various contracting firms in Whatcom County for many years.

A lifetime member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, he had attended the Bellingham church since 1950.

Five brothers and three sisters died previously.

Survivors include his wife, of the family home daughters Peggy Jones of Bellingham and April Colburn of Everett son Timothy Spreadborough of Oregon City, Ore. stepdaughters Mary Blackwell of Bellingham and Cheryl Owens of Ferndale stepsons Richard Wright of Laurel, Gordon Hamilton of Lynden, Arthur Wright of Spokane, Edwin Hamilton of Montana and Ron Hamilton of Florida brothers Robert Spreadborough of Seattle and Theodore Spreadborough of Battle Ground sisters Laura Galloway of Amboy, Joyce Lamb of Castle Rock, Dorie Burgie of Portland, Ore., Alice Thompson of Chico, Calif., and Sidney Jean Cosby of Phoenix eight grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild 15 stepgrandchildren 10 great-stepgrandchildren and one great-great-stepgrandchild.
