Charles N. Wright ~ Dies Suddenly at His Residence on State Street, Aged 68 Years. ~
Charles N. Wright, who had been in falling health for several months, died while sitting in a chair at his residence on State street last Thursday shortly before noon, aged 68 years. Mr. Wright was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Wright and was born in Burrville, Jefferson county. Forty years ago he came to Lowville and for several years was employed as telegraph operator at the New York Central station. In 1885 he married Miss Susan Lomber and for thirteen years they conducted the Miller house in Croghan, returning to Lowville twenty-one years, ago, and for several years conducted the Strife house on State Street. The past ten years Mr. Wright had been engaged in the manufacture of cigars in the basement of his residence. He was one of the oldest members of Lowville Lodge of Odd Fellows and a good citizen. His wife survives.
The funeral services, under the direction of the Odd Fellows Lodge, were held Sunday afternoon from the family home, Reverend J. Wesby Earnshaw officiating; interment at Rural cemetery.

Lowville, April 8. ~ Charles N. Wright, a well known resident of Lewis County, died at his home on State street, yesterday of Brights disease, from which he had suffered for some time. He was about the house Wednesday and arose and dressed yesterday morning. Mr. Wright was born in Burrville, Jefferson County, 68 years ago. In May 1885 he married Susan Lombar of New Bremen, who survives. For 13 years he conducted the Miller House at Croghan after which he removed to Lowville and for seven years conducted the Strife House. He was a member of Lowville Lodge, No. 759, I .O.O.F.
