Edward J. Beck, 84, of 2405 W. Millman died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at his residence.
Born Dec. 30, 1916, in Charleston, Mo., to Roy W. and Savanah Iva Beck, he married Esther Bickel on July 20, 1947, in Terre Haute, Ind. She died July 27, 1999, in Peoria.
He also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Richard 'Rick' (and Deborah) of Sunnyland and Roy of Venice, Calif.
He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, serving as a mechanic with the Mighty Eighth.
He was employed as a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. for 31 years, retiring in July 1977.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
