Andrew "Tony" Schlosser was born in Belle River Township, Minnesota, on January 20, 1902 to John and Mary (Hoffman) Schlosser. Tony attended a rural school in Belle River Township and on October 1, 1938 he and Lucille Lindemer were joined in matrimony at St. Stephens Catholic church in Minneapolis. After leaving home he spent 26 years in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area where he worked as a chef for many restaurants and major corporations, two of which were Northern Pump and Honeywell. In 1948 tony and Lucille moved to Osakis where they built and operated the Farm Court supper club for 19 years.
Mr. Schlosser died January 30, 1993 at his home in Alexandria. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille of Alexandria; daughter Barbara and husband Richard Askler of Mendota Heights; son Dennis Schlosser of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister Agnes and husband Tony Baker of Osakis; and brother Simon Schlosser of St. Cloud. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: John, Nicholas, Albert, Lucas; four sisters: Anna, Lizzie, Marie, Katherine.
Mass of Christian Burial was held February 2, 1993 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria with Father Marvin Enneking officiating. Pallbearers were Melvin Schlosser, Richard Kock, Richard Askler, Robert Schlosser, Charles Schlosser and John Skoglund. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Alexandria.
