He married Joyce Marie Taylor Foote on Oct. 2, 1970, in Pekin. She died March 28, 2006, in Chicago.

Also preceding him in death were one stepson, Randy Foote; one brother; and one sister.

Surviving are three daughters, Stephanie (Roberto) Avina, Creve Coeur; Stacy Davis, East Peoria; and Regina (Mark) Newlun Sr., San Jose; one stepdaughter, Tina M. Foote, Pekin; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Lois (Bob) Martin, Roanoke.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.
