ROBERT A. COULOMBE SR.

ALTON -- Robert A. Coulombe Sr., 74, passed away July 1, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born May 2, 1935, the son of Amos and Laura Mae (Young) Coulombe. Robert loved cheering on his Red Sox and Patriots, and was also a fan of NASCAR (National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing). He also enjoyed ice fishing and gardening. Robert is survived by his children, Robert Coulombe Jr. of Veazie, Richard Coulombe and his significant other, Cathy Cashman, of Old Town, Timothy Coulombe and his wife, Syldania, of Greenbush, Gary Coulombe and his significant other, Alan Severance, of Bradley, Kathy Emerson and her husband, Dan, of Milford, Belinda Doucette and her husband, Cliff, of Old Town, Michele Doucette and her husband, Jamie, of Veazie, and Michael Coulombe and his significant other, Amy, of Ellsworth; his step-children, Denise Mitchell and her husband, Kurt Smith, of Bangor, Jean Evans of Portland, Joan Redmond of Portland, and Carlene Miller and husband, Brian, of Alton; his grandchildren, Robbie III, Meghan, Jaclyn, Matthew, Brandi, Heather, Timmy Jr., Nicole, Daniel, Kevin, Corey, Nathan, Amanda, Samantha, and Dustin; his step-grandchildren, Stacey, Bearson, Emma, Brandon and Alexa; his great-grandchildren, Abigal, Taylor, Brianna and Terrell; and his brothers, Reggie of Florida and Old Town, and Richard and his wife, Marilyn, of Old Town. He is also survived by his "second family," the Folsom Crew, especially John Folsom. Robert was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife, Marilyn (Moore) Coulombe; his children, Melissa Coulombe and Cheryl Coulombe; and his brother, Clement "Billy" Coulombe. Family and friends may call 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main Street, Old Town, where a memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Interment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Old Town.
