Janice Joanne Prast, 76, passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2014.

She was born Janice Joanne Peters on July 5, 1938, to Ewald and Bernice Peters, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 8, 1956, she married Harry Prast Jr., who preceded her in death.

Janice is survived by her sisters Joyce (William) Manning and Pamela (William) Shrader; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ronald and Jacqueline Prast; and 14 nieces and nephews.

She graduated from St. Paul school in 1952 and Elston High School in 1956. Janice worked at Horizon for 40 years. She was a member of Michigan City Senior Center, St. Paul Lutheran Church and the St. Paul Quilting Group.

Janice played in a card club with seven other Horizon employees for 53 years. She enjoyed playing any kind of board, card or trivia games. Janice was active with her husband in the 4-H Draft Horse Club for 16 years.
