Ballinger, Feb. 27 - Funeral for Thomas Agnew, 62, photographer and retired independent oil operator who died Tuesday at his home, was to be held at 4 pm Wednesday in the First Methodist Church. Officiating was to be by the Rev. E. R. Gordon, pastor. Burial was to be in Memorial Gardens under direction of Newby-Davis Funeral Home. A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Agnew moved to Texas in 1934 and to Ballinger in 1939. He retired from the oil business in 1940 and later opened a photography studio in his home. He has served on the school board, was a member of the Masonic lodge, and was active in veteran organizations. Survivors include his wife: one son, Dr. Jimmy Agnew of Vernon: one daughter, Mrs. Barry Williams of Austin: one brother, H. G. Agnew of Ballinger; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Turner of Southgate, Calif., and one grandchild.
